The Spring Summer 2010 collection draws its Inspiration from the ‘70’s: disillusionment reversed by freedom ,love, and sexual awakening as shown in Barbet Schroeder’s “More” or Just Jaekin’s “Emmanuelle”. It is a reflection on the resilience of innocence.

The silhouette is softer, yet remains pure and essential, cut to highlight and flatter the body as a woman moves. Structure is fractured, patchworked, then re-assembled from torn familiar clothes to create pieces with a history and soul.

Inspired by the ease and “laissez-faire” dressing of the 70’s, the waist is dropped to the hips, and volumes are fuller and looser. The body is revealed and hidden in an interplay of transparencies and cutouts.

The collection is an assemblage of sensual and soft fabrics, in natural tones of tan, chestnut, khaki, pale pink and white. Suede is paired with soft and lyrical romantic fabrics: white dotted- swiss chiffon, cotton broderie anglaise, washed tulle. Caned suede underlines strong-shouldered tailoring in the jackets . Dresses and tops are playfully deconstructed then reconstructed with tan silk and suede, tea-dyed dotted-swiss chiffon, and gold bells as trim.

For evening, cocktail dresses are draped and patchworked in chestnut silk and white chiffon. Long, lean white dotted-swiss gowns are inset with panels of gold caned leather, broderie-anglaise, and flower like shoulder ruffles.

The look is finished with platform sandals, balancing the soft silhouette with a solid base. As in the clothing, they are re-assembled: hybrids of a lace-up boot, a braided sandal, and an espadrille, to ultimately create shoes that feel feminine and modern.

The jewelry is gryphon- like in its assembly: gold chunky cuffs with metal tassels, bells and keys, chest-plate wood beaded necklaces, adorned with rose quartz or petrified wood.
