G-STAR RAW PRESENTS SPRING/SUMMER 2012 FOOTWEAR COLLECTION

Since 1989, G-Star RAW has been a super specialist modern denim brand – it was the first brand to explore the raw, untreated denim fabric and turn it into a wearable, luxury product and also introduced the 3D construction techniques in its designs, thereby offering maximum comfort.

G-Star RAW Footwear has taken the distinct design based on G-Star’s raw DNA signature and created a unique collection, which is now accessible in over 1,700 retail stores worldwide. For more than 20 years, craftsmanship and innovation have been part of everything that G-Star RAW stands for, highlighting the philosophy of ‘Just the Product’. G-Star RAW Footwear re-works authentic styles with new fabrics, finishes and aspects by taking raw ingredients and adding a luxury street feeling.

For Spring/Summer 2012, G-Star RAW Footwear draws upon the themes of G-Star’s collection, where for women slimmer silhouettes and feminine fits are introduced. For the menswear collection inspiration has been taken from outdoor living, combined with metropolitan city life. Craftsmanship, innovative washings and hand-stitched detailing are at the foundation of G-star’s collections, creating a true luxury product.

LAUNDRY ARMY
The men’s Laundry Army collection takes inspiration from the functionality of military clothing, like PATTON III & GARRET II both authentic military-inspired boots. For this summer fresh colours are used against the traditional military palette in luxury suede’s. The GARRET II Burroughs is a modern take on the classic desert boot and has been given a summer make-over; updated in muted, pastel and bright hues using lightweight fabrics.

SPORTS ORIGINAL
Building on the success of last season’s must have styles - YARD and AUGUR; the sports collection finds its inspiration in retro sports culture resulting in a range of fresh modern vintage footwear. AUGUR is carried across both the men’s and woman’s collections in a mix of bold colours. The classic Hi top profile of the YARD Pyro and YARD Skirmish Hi feature uppers of mixed materials with strong G-Star branding all on a unique cup sole. VELOCET is great summer low profile sports shoe, with a light retro nylon upper, tonal suede wing tips and padded collars with a two tone mid sole.

WOMEN’S
For Spring/Summer 2012, G-Star presents slim silhouettes and feminine fits for women without losing its strong G-Star signature. The shoe collection includes a seasonal highlight, the BLONDELL Pinkerton complete with a suede wedge heel; available in grey/natural and navy/natural. This open toe shoe with contrasting colour and cross-over leather straps makes for an everyday heel that is executed with optimum detailing and craftsmanship. SPIN & DASH are the ultimate in a light-weight summer shoe construction. Available in nautical shades of navy and bubble-gum blues, whites and muted soft tones of dove grey; choose from slip on’s to lace-ups. The summer flats come complete with a luxury espadrille wrap option.

For this season G-Star presents BEAUVOIR, a sophisticated collection containing leather and textile boots and block heeled gladiator sandals in tan and mid grey. This feminine collection has the consistent G-Star RAW signature and is in line with the forbidden combinations philosophy that combines opposing elements like chic & RAW, street wear & couture and denim & silk. The collection offers a luxury feel whilst maintaining its authentic and functional character.
