THE RENOVATION - Spring/Summer 2012

Standing behind the curtain her heart beats a rhythm of excitement and anticipation. Within minutes she will enter the stage and walk the teen steps towards the love of her life - the piano. This is her first big concert in Copenhagen and she only prays her new pink suede pumps will guide her. During the next hour her fingers will do magic as they hit the piano with precision and control. Since she was a little girl she has loved the graphical expression of the black and white keys - it speaks to her creative mind inspiring her to try new combinations in her work.

She looks down - the long green sequins dress is a perfect choice. Understated and powerful! It radiates self- confidence, sexy and elegant. A very different choice from her normal selection of stage outfits, but it is a symbol of this significant period in her life - THE RENOVATION.

It started out as a simple renovation of her charming riad in Marrakesh - she felt in love with the place immediately - finally she got the famous Moroccan arched windows! As she closes her eyes she is almost there: The orange trees in the inner courtyard are blooming and the smell is amazingly fresh. She has decided to go for white walls and few selected walls painted grass green. Black and crème tiles at the floor makes her calm - a celebration to her beloved piano. Somehow the renovation has influenced every part of her life - it is time to clean up both mentally and physically. Now even her wardrobe is going through a makeover. She feels for more long and lean silhouettes and she will look for white clothes combined with strong and powerful colors for the summer.

It is time. The soft tones from the piano fill the air with a silky vibrant sound - almost like the smooth fabric on her skin. She loves the way the tones spread in the concert hall - clings around the audience like a loose summer dress around the female body. Tomorrow she leaves for Marrakesh to finish her renovation - her dream! And she knows that another exiting dream awaits her around the corner. She can’t wait to get there - and she will wear her new pants with extremely wide legs - fluttering like a piece of music every time she walks...
