The range reflects the understatedly cool signature of the brand and combines fresh new styles with reassuringly classic designs that reiterate the Originals iconic status.
60th Anniversary
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Desert Boot, Clarks Originals have created a collection of special edition shoes, each one masterfully crafted to represent a decade of the shoes existence. Alive with history and steeped in style each shoe illustrates a part of the Desert Boot’s Journey and what the shoe means to its dedicated fans throughout the ages.
1950
Men’s Harris Tweed Each pair comes in a specially designed anniversary box, containing a special edition 60th anniversary key ring, each one made using the same materials as the shoe it comes with.
For Men
Materials are tactile and evocative of winter. Bringing together the best of British by coupling heavy printed suede cord, waxy newbuck Toughnut leather, and grained vintage style 70’s Mountie leather, with Clarks Originals styling. American premium Horween leather, perfected over 400 years, is a favourite of boat shoe manufacturers world wide due to its durability and water resistance, and appears on key styles including the originals classics.
In the men’s collection, classics remain while new styles are born to become icons in their own right. Sitting alongside its Desert Boot kin, the Desert Lynx is a stylish addition to the range, a heavy masculine winter boot that is a revival of a 70’s classic. Strongly influenced by a Clarks archive formal shoe, Exmoor Legend is the ultimate brogue with heavy set patterning. Set to become another Originals Icon is Camden Cat, a slim line modish lace up that harks back to the 60’s and evokes vintage nostalgia.
For women
This collection encapsulates the mood of the season. Materials are luxurious and autumnal; Spanish curly Marino wool, gold dusted velvety suede, and ‘Wolf’ lining sheepskin. Colours are contrasting; muted nudes, mushroom and rich tan juxtaposed with purple, two tone metallic, and vibrant reds.
The range is refreshed with a series of new styles that are beautiful in their simplicity, marking an evolution of the women’s range. Desert Lorado, a Desert boot inspired pull on leather Wellington boot straight from the Clarks archive, is the ultimate in style and comfort. The Moccasin silhouette sits across Wallabee influenced styles in a cozy sheep skin lined boot, and crepe heeled soft suede moccasin. The Yarra Valley is the ultimate vintage inspired winter wedge, it is elegant and feminine in soft suede and premium leather, with a luxury velvet lace up version, the Yarra Lace.
